East Texas Vines Controlling Invasive Vines in East Texas

There may be some truth to it! I have watched kudzu grow, and watched it invade new territory by over growing and out growing everything it came into contact with! If you have 10 or 15 minutes to waste on a warm summer day, you can observe the same thing. Give it a try, but don't stand there too long, or you could become a victim! Kudzu isn't the only invasive vine in our area, wisteria has also become a problem in some areas, honeysuckle has as well. In fact, there are several common non native vines such as kudzu, wisteria, and honeysuckle on the invasive species list. We also have problems with poison ivy, greenbriar, and a host of other herbacious vines. They can climb power poles, and cause problems with electric and communication delivery lines, and they have an annoying habit of trying to get into your home and outbuildings.
